Cancellation, Rescheduling & Weather Policy

At Black Tip Charters, we strive to provide a safe, enjoyable, and reliable experience for every guest. By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies:

Reservation Policy

  • A valid credit card is required to confirm all bookings.

  • Reservations are not guaranteed until confirmation has been received from Black Tip Charters.

  • The cardholder must present the physical credit card used for the reservation along with a valid government-issued photo ID prior to departure.

  • Black Tip Charters accepts Visa and Mastercard only.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled charter departure date and time will receive no penalty.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled charter departure are non-refundable and will be charged in full.

  • Failure to arrive for your scheduled charter (“No Show”) will result in a full charge of the charter amount.

Rescheduling Policy

  • Reservations may be rescheduled at no additional cost when requested 48 hours or more before the scheduled charter date and time.

  • Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled charter will be subject to a 20% rescheduling fee, based on availability.

  • Only one complimentary reschedule may be permitted per reservation.

Weather Policy

  • The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority.

  • Black Tip Charters reserves the right to cancel, delay, shorten, or reschedule any charter due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, mechanical issues, government restrictions, or any other circumstance beyond our control.

  • If Black Tip Charters cancels a charter due to weather or unsafe conditions, guests will have the option to:

    • Reschedule to another available date, or

    • Receive a full refund.

  • Weather conditions are determined solely at the discretion of Black Tip Charters and the vessel captain.

  • If a guest chooses to cancel due to weather concerns while the charter is still approved to operate, standard cancellation charges will apply.

Cruise Ship Guests

  • Guests arriving by cruise ship will not be charged if their ship is unable to dock due to weather, port restrictions, or official cruise line decisions.

  • If the ship docks as scheduled and the guest does not arrive for the charter, standard cancellation and no-show policies will apply.

Arrival & Departure

  • Guests are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to departure time.

  • Charters depart promptly at the scheduled time.

  • Late arrivals may result in reduced charter time or cancellation without refund, depending on scheduling availability.

Guest Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including passenger count and contact details.

  • Black Tip Charters reserves the right to refuse service to any guest for unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, or unlawful behavior without refund.

Captain’s Authority

  • The captain reserves the right to refuse boarding, terminate a charter, alter the itinerary, return to port, or deny participation in any activity at any time due to unsafe behavior, intoxication, harassment, illegal activity, medical concerns, dangerous sea conditions, or any situation deemed unsafe at the sole discretion of the captain. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances

Liability

  • Participation in water activities involves inherent risks.

  • By participating in a charter, guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with boating, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, and related activities.

  • Black Tip Charters shall not be held liable for personal injury, loss, theft, damage to personal property, delays, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

  • Disclaimer form must be completed and submitted prior to boarding the vessel on the day of your charter excursion.

Agreement

By submitting payment and confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined above.
